University of Sydney Academic Tutor
In 2017 I was employed as a tutor in Design Processes and Methods at the University of Sydney. This involved teaching and demonstrating a human-centred approach to the design of interactive technologies and environments. I was teaching and assessing students in the theoretical concepts of design, identifying and reframing the problem space, using the methods and tools of human-centred design including user research, ideation, prototyping and user evaluation and how to communicate design proposals through visual storytelling. To be able to teach and assist students I needed to have a very good understanding of the concepts and tools and an ability to communicate effectively.
